These holograms are stamped onto a silver mylar foil. They are the type used on credit cards.
| Embossed holograms are first shot as laser visible holograms on a photoresist master or H1. This is then used to create a white light master on photoresist called a H2. The resulting hologram is stored as a surface relief pattern which is metalized and electroplated to create a metal master. The metal master is then taken two more generations to make a metal stamper which is used to press or emboss the holographic surface relief pattern into the mylar turning it into a hologram. |
